Mamie L. Pack, Ph.D.
Dr. Mamie (pronounced May-Me) L. Pack is a military wife, momma, educator, and founder of Pearls & Fern Paper (formerly Mamie L. Pack Media). From a young age, she was drawn to the beauty of books, storytelling, and the written word. She believes there is power in telling your story in your own words.
What began as a love for reading and writing grew into a passion for lists, planners, and thoughtful productivity. Even as a child, Mamie created custom journals, long before she knew it would become part of her life’s work. As a military kid, books and journals were more than hobbies; they were steady companions and creative outlets during seasons of change.
Today, that early love has evolved into a brand devoted to helping women reflect, plan, and grow with intention.
With her love of storytelling, it’s no surprise that Mamie began her professional career as an English teacher. In the classroom, her focus extended beyond literature. She guided students in goal setting, productivity strategies, and self-care practices. She even created custom journals to help them build healthy habits, improve their reading skills, and develop confidence in their own growth.
Mamie is a proud Navy spouse and mother of four sons. She understands firsthand the rhythms and realities of military life, the relocations, deployments, new duty stations, and the experience of being “the new family” more than once. She has lived the seasons of being a working mom, a stay-at-home mom, and a work-from-home mom, all while navigating transition and reinvention.
Her passion for organization, planning, and storytelling expanded beyond the classroom as she began creating products for military wives and stay-at-home moms who, like her, were seeking structure, encouragement, and community. Through writing and thoughtfully designed tools, she sought to remind women that they are not alone.
With more than 25 years of experience leading, teaching, and mentoring, Dr. Pack blends professional expertise with personal experience to challenge the narrative that women must constantly do more and be more to have value. Her work disrupts the pressure-driven mindset and instead encourages intentional, aligned living.
In 2018, she launched Mamie L. Pack Media (now Pearls & Fern Paper) with a single product: the Sermon Notes Reflection Journal. What began as one offering has grown into a collection of more than 50 thoughtfully designed products created to support women’s mental, emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual well-being.
In addition to serving as a full-time educator and founder of Pearls and Fern Paper, Mamie leads professional development sessions and speaks to audiences about leadership, wellness, and intentional growth.
